Solution:
Please re-connect the KVM console according to instructions:
1) Disconnect all the signal cables or power cords connected to the KVM console.
2) Power on the KVM console, a screen will pop up for entering the user name and pass word window after indication sound from the beeper.
3) Type in the right user name and pass word, then the OSD menu will pop up from the KVM system. The initial pass word is to press “Enter” button twice.
4) Check the switch functions about the KVM console.
5) Connect one server to one of the KVM port with KVM signal cable, to check the KVM switch function, keyboard and mouse, if not works, try to reboot the server.
6) After successfully completing above steps, try to add servers until meet needs.
Solution:
1) Check the power (AC or DC) output.
2) Make sure you have heard the indicating sound from the beeper and the LED lights are on after starting up the computer.
3) Check whether the LED monitor is power on and make sure the LED monitor has been connected to the KVM console.
Solution:
1) Make sure the KVM keyboard is working properly.
2) Make sure you have typed in the right user name and pass word, the initial pass word is blank, you can just press “Enter” to log in.
Solution:
1) Invoke the OSD main menu and check the user name on the top left, make sure the user has got the access permission from the administrator.
2) Please contact the distributor or the KVM manufacturer.
Solution:
1) Make sure the signal cable has been connected.
2) Reset the LED monitor’s display settings.
Solution:
1) Power on your devices again, and check whether you can use the keyboard in the Log In interface.
2) Check whether the signal cables are provided by original manufacturer and check whether the USB is connected to the right ports of the servers.
3) Check whether the USB port on the rear panel of the device is normal or replace with a different brand of mouse.
4) Please connect signal cables to other ports of KVM devices, or replace signal cables.
5) Check if the keyboard and mouse can run normally by connecting them directly to the target servers, or replace the USB ports of the servers.
Solution:
1) Make sure your device is grounded and power the device on again.
2) Press the AUTO EXIT button at the bottom of the screen.
3) Adjust contrast from the on-screen OSD menu, or restore Factory Settings.
4) Adjust the system resolution to match the display.
5) Check whether the KVM device works properly If an abnormal port is connected to another normal port.
6) Check whether the host computer is normal when it is connected directly to the monitor.
Solution:
1) Check whether the network cable meets the T568B standard and whether the transmitter and receiver are connected via network or fiber cables.
2) Check whether the fiber optic modules and fiber cables can match.
3) After the network cable or optical fiber is connected, whether the link light on the device is on, and whether the green light on the network cable port is on.
4) Check whether the PWR lamp is always on.
Solution:
1) Check whether the resolution of the target system is synchronized with the resolution of the machine.
2) Run the “xset m11” command on the Linux system of the destination server.
3) Adjust Relative Mouse (Linux) and Absolute Mouse Mode.
4) Click the Mouse Sync button.
5) Check whether the adapters and network cables are normal.
Solution:
1) Check whether the bandwidth of the network link is limited.
2) Check whether the hardware configuration of the remote computer is satisfied.
3) Lower the bitrate of the device to see if it improves.
