Background
CUFE was founded on November 6, 1949. As the first university of finance and economics in the Republic, CUFE was founded by the China’s central government. Its former name is Central School of Taxation. Then, it develops from Central Institute of Finance, Central Institute of Finance and Economics, to Central Institute of Finance and Banking. And finally, it was officially called as Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). This university has established a base to support the National Higher Education Institutions Academic Innovation and Talent Recruitment Plan.
