Background

In December last year, National Energy Administration issued the measures for the Administration of the Renovation, Upgrading and Decommissioning of Wind Farms. It refers to the replacement or technical transformation of on-site wind turbines, supporting step-up substations, on-site electric lines and other facilities.

Devices of Huarun Wind Farm are expected to be centrally managed in a control center so that the staff can monitor these devices remotely by adding maintenance seats, which can decrease costs for personnel and improve work efficiency.

Solution

  • Transmitter: In wind farm A, each server is equipped with a set of single-port IP KVM device connected to the switch.
  • Receiver: In the centralized control center B, each seat has a KVM remote control box connected to the switch in the control room. A 100m private network is connected between the A switch and the B switch.
  • The managers can enter their usernames and passwords through the KVM remote control box to have access to the targeted devices.
